Well, I bought 'em!
They are a little worse for wear to look at, but the 15"s are 416A's and the horns are 811's, but the drivers within the horns I can't identify, but they are both 8 ohms. Thanks Kev for the offer to send me the tones CD, but I thought for $250, what the **** , once I saw they were loaded with the real stuff. The two compression drivers don't match (one looks newer than the other, I can live with that, so long as they match frequency wise, etc),Incidentally, when looking at the compression driver, is green postive and brown negative?, cuz one is wired one way to the input jack, and the other is reversed, so there will be some weird phase cancellation going on if I run them as is...
Thanks again to all for your input!
Best regards,
Pat

In terms of refinishing them with new veneers- that could be time consuming and costly. Another cheaper solution is the sander and bondo, then re-paint in the original type gray.

You might want to remove the horn drivers and inspect the diaphram for damage and other visable defects. You can verify polarity from internal wiring under the rear cap or use a low voltage battery (not 9v) to make sure its correct if the driver has been rebuilt. If you don't see the diaphram deflect under voltage, you can tape a piece of light paper, (toilet paper works) over the exit hole and see the deflection better.
Congrats on your acquisition - you now get to listen to your collection for the first time again! Enjoy.

Sounds like a great deal, I was expecting to hear that they came with PA drivers which are not that great for Hi Fi, If the cones & diaphrams are orig. than they should sound excellent.
